Care instructions of alpaca products

Balmuir’s alpaca products are made of durable and soft 100 % alpaca wool. Fiber that is 19-21 micron is called baby alpaca. Baby alpaca fibers are hollow, so the wool is extremely light and has a great thermal insulation. Because of this, baby alpaca is five times warmer than regular wool. Baby alpaca is also very elastic and will not crease.

To keep your alpaca products beautiful and long-lasting, Balmuir recommends to air them and give them time to rest regularly. You can carefully handwash alpaca products in lukewarm water.

Care instructions:

• Air the product regularly and give it time to rest.

• Store your product folded instead of hanging.

• To maintain the fluffy surface, you can lightly brush the surface with a clothes brush. Avoid using a cashmere comb or mohair brush. You can remove excessive pilling carefully by hand.

• Store the cleaned alpaca product in breathable cotton garment bag.

• We recommend dry cleaning for stain removal.

• You can carefully steam the surface with low a low temperature but avoid touching the product directly with an iron.
