The silk dress is made of two varieties of silk. Silk is an elegant material that adds a special touch to any outfit. The charming, puffed sleeves are 100 % sheer silk organza, which has a sophisticated shimmer. The bodice, and sleeve cuffs are made of smooth silk rib, with an additional 7 % of elastane jersey for convenience and comfort. Silk fibers are naturally durable yet light, which makes the garment feel comfortable in both warm and cooler temperatures.

Care instructions of silk products

Silk is an elegant material that falls beautifully and adds a special touch to an outfit. Silk garments and accessories are timeless and easy to combine with different outfits. The material is very light and strong. Momme is a unit used to tell the weight of silk. The silk used in Balmuir products is high, for example Marbel products it is 22 mommes. Silk is a material that adapt to the temperature, so it always feels comfortable. The smooth material feels light and cool against skin in the summer and breathable and warm during winter. With the right maintenance the silk garments and accessories will give you joy for years.

Care instructions:

Air the product regularly and give it time to rest.
Store your product folded instead of hanging.
Avoid direct sunlight.
Store the cleaned silk product in a breathable cotton garment bag. We recommend dry cleaning for stain removal.
Wash the product only when necessary.

Washing instructions:

Hand wash the product gently with a little bit of silk detergent at a warm water. We recommend dry cleaning.
Avoid using fabric softener or soaking the product. Do not wring.
Wrap the garment carefully in a towel and press out all excess water.
Air dry the product flat and shape it, avoiding direct sunlight.
Iron the silk product gently using the lowest temperature. Turn the product inside out. Use a white cotton cloth between the product and the iron to prevent spotting or scorching of the material.
You can carefully steam the surface with a low temperature but avoid touching the product directly with an iron.
